Admission Process
The nursing home admission process can be overwhelming, especially when juggling the emotional impact of placing a loved one in a nursing home. Knowing what to expect can help alleviate some of the stress.
During the admission process, you can expect a health evaluation which will include a physical assessment, review of hospital records and discussion regarding past medical history. The admission assessment is performed by our interdisciplinary team and may include input from the physician, nurse, therapist, dietary staff and social service staff.
An inventory of personal belongings will be performed. It is not recommended that you bring jewelry, credit cards or money with you. Please bring your driver’s license and insurance cards to assist in completing the admission paperwork.
Our admissions team will be able to answer your questions and discuss any concerns you may have.
